Insurance for flat- Building insurance?

Just bought a lovely flat in a mill. I pay a maintence fee which covers building insurance but apparently it only covers the building itself. What type of insurance do I get to cover the kitchen, bathroom and pipes (fixtures and fittings) etc. can anyone help? cant find anything on internet

    You need Contents insurance - it's a very normal set up for flats!

    Fitted Kitchens (Inc built in appliances), bathroom fittings etc are generally regarded as building.

    Hgowling, have a look at the building policy you're paying towards which will normally define what it covers.
