Radio 4 Moneybox

Options
Do you listen to Moneybox at lunchtime of a Saturday on Radio 4. I've just had an email saying what tomorrows show includes and i saw this.

JUST A TICK

Legitimate websites of major and well-known online retailers are being used to lure people into joining a club which can cost them hundreds of pounds. A tick in a box to get a money-off voucher can lead to another website and cost the unwary a great deal.

It might be worth listening to that to avoid the wrong money off vouchers.

I always listen to Moneybox and Moneybox Live. I love Paul Lewis. Mental hair, although that's not immediately obvious on the radio.

Perhaps it's a prerequisite that everyone who advises on money issues is called Lewis? Martin Lewis, Paul Lewis, CS Lewis, the list goes on!

    I like Moneybox, too.

The scam Paul Lewis is highlighting is probably that firm featured in this thread

I clicked the link once to save on my next Premier Inn, then I read the small print and rapidly cancelled.

Gosh Polly that goes back until 2008 and they're still getting away with it, surely someone in authority can stop these guys.

You still come across the link, saying something like 'to get £10 off your next booking ......'

    Avoid like the plague!

Did he fit financial reporting in between writing about Narnia before dying approx 50 years ago?

Smoke and mirrors trickery that consumers fall for, as they don't read the terms!
