Tesco Vouchers Rant.

Along with my clubcard statement, I got the usual money off/extra points vouchers. There were two vouchers for £4 off a £40 shop. The voucher clearly stated "This voucher can be used twice"
My partner went off to do some shopping, with "Make sure you get that voucher back. Because it can be used twice" from me ringing in his ears.
He got to the check out. The check out operator scanned the shopping. My partner handed over the £4 off voucher and asked if he can have it back after it's been scanned, so he can use it again next time.
The checkout operator said she couldn't return the voucher to him. So he asked to speak to the manager or supervisor. Because it did state it can be used twice.
The manager came over. Took a look at the voucher. Then stated yes, it could indeed be used twice. BUT, only in a one off shop. If we wanted to use it again, we had to buy £80 worth of shopping.
What a load of twaddle. Why can't they not make things more clear. I wonder how many people have been fooled like this.

Do you still have the other voucher? What does it say exactly about being able to be used twice?
This does sound like a nonsense on the face of it but it may say in the small print...0 -

In a very tiny print it does say "Unless otherwise stated on the coupon. Can only be redeemed once by the person to whom it was issued"
However, the front of the voucher is still very misleading.0 -
"Coupon can be used once on two separate transactions" is definitely misleading if it can actually only be redeemed twice on one £80+ transaction0

Mine got written on when I used it i.e the 2 crossed out so I can use it again.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0

You are able to use the coupons twice, on seperate visits so they should have handed it back to you.
There are double points coupons with the same use me twice printed on them too. They just get handed back.
Maybe try e-mailing tesco customer service.0 -
Yup we used ours in two transactions and it was only kept once two transactions had occurred. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0

Why not log on to your clubcard account and print it out from there.0

Sounds like they didnt know you could use them twice so they have probably done this to a lot of people at that particular store. Why would they expect anyone to get 2 £40 shops in one day and not make the voucher £8 off an £80 shop. They didnt think that through at the checkout!
Definitly email them, you might get something back for the trouble too! x1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000
