UK holiday booking form error!!

Hi
I don't know if anyone can help but I'm looking for a bit of advice. I've booked a self catering holiday in Wales. The company have contacted me to say they made a mistake on the booking form and are asking me for more money to complete the booking! However I signed the booking form and sent a cheque for the price quoted on the form. They are saying they will just change the original booking form! Can they do that after I've signed it? Surely it is their error and I shouldn't have to pay more? Does anyone know?

i think the answer is going to be 'it depends'. Hae they written back to you stating the error as soon as they received the booking form ? If so, I think you could say that they haven't accepted the booking, and so you can't insist on paying the original price, although I'd say that in the circumstances they ought to give you a full refund if that's what you want.

How much is the difference ?

they dont have to accept your booking - but most companies probably would. however if they put £1 instead of £100 then it might be understandable. Let us know the difference, if it is small, then negotiate :)

    Hi
They emailed once they received the booking and are asking for another £180 to confirm the booking so I guess like you say they haven't accepted it yet :-(

The booking form is an invitation to treat. They have contacted you before accepting the booking to say: It's £x more or you can have your cheque back.
