Maximiles (Ipoints) help needed(merged)

I've read here on the forums that giftcards do not arrive loaded. I've just cashed my points on 2 lots of £25 Asda vouchers, so would I have to wait a few days before I could start using them?

My Argos voucher arrived on the Saturday and it was the Tuesday before it was loaded, it does say to wait 24 hours but perhaps mine took longer because it arrived at the weekend.

Thanks for the advice!:j but how are you notified that the card is loaded? Do you need to keep going to the store to check it out if its loaded or not :rotfl:

I sent my daughter to Argos with the card to buy a couple of items I had reserved, that's when we found out it that it had no money on it

I emailed Maximiles, they replied on the Monday afternoon to say it should be loaded now, my poor daughter went to the same store and asked if there was anything on the card and there wasn't.

Just by luck she was in a different town the next day and asked in there and it was loaded by then.

I think there was a phone number so that you could check the balance on the card, but she going was going in to town anyway and I wasn't spending money on a phonecall.:D

From that experience, I would wait 3 or 4 days before trying.

I had this with an M&S e-voucher from them. They actually sent me two emails one was empty (which I only found out while trying to buy stuff in store!) and the other was credited which I found out when I logged in via the M&S website.

Just received my 2x Asda gift cards through the post :D that was very quick! nice one Maximiles

Edit: Cards were loaded on arrival :shocked:, I guess Maximiles do not send out empty giftcards or it could be my luck.
