Just had 500 points added to my account for completing 50 surveys.
    Ouch! That's about 3p a survey.

I've given these clowns the heave due to their poor rates.

There are other points awarded as well, but definitely not as many points as there used to be.

All the survey companies seem to be going the same way.

That is a little bonus on top of the actual survey payment, the surveys aren't 3p a survey.

Ah, I see. Nevertheless, their rates are among the worst when converted to an hourly rate.

If you're worried about hourly rates then survey sites probably aren't for you.

It's more that I've started to be a bit more choosy about how I spend my time.

I'll stick with a site like, say, Valued Opinions, which consistently equate to £3 an hour or more.

Anyone, like ToLuna or MaxiMiles, that normally pay under £2 an hour gets the elbow.

    All down to personal taste

I personally rarely touch VO as I find this is one of the worst offenders for kicking you out of a survey after xxmins saying you don't fit the profile. I also find that the surveys are hit and miss as to whether you get paid. If i were to write down the ones I did, I would have to chance payment for 30-40% of them which I find unacceptable.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

I had a survey recently which said you can get 750 points per month for downloading an app to your phone so it monitors usage patterns etc. Thought I'd give it a go as can stop by deleting it at any point. Although after installing app and filling in few details, it goes to settings to install a profile...called research settings. Has anyone done this and know it is safe etc? Thanks in advance

I've been offered similar via survey sites and wouldn't touch that sort of thing with a bargepole personally. Given the potential to track every call, text, visited website, physical location, they'd have to pay me a hell of a lot more than that. Plus some people have reported similar apps making their phones slow and buggy.
