    Right ok, so I messed up by doing it early! What now? Do i refuse to change the date, they cant sack me for being on maternity leave. Are they even aloud to ask me to change it?

    They can ask you, yes. Wouldn't you if you knew an employee that was due back in 4 months, costing you 28 days pay, wasn't planning to come back?

    Ask but don't do, inform them of your annual leave entitlement and ask how they intend to pay this. Don't get drawn into anything else, you resigned, they deal with holiday pay.

    So just tell them i'll leave my resignation date the same as what i originally told them? Thank you
