Do I Take out the Warranty?

I am hoping to buy an LCD 32" television today and want either a Panasonic or Sony. Can anyone recommend one that is under £550? Also do I take out the shop warranty or is there a cheaper way of doing this? Can you insure your tv against break-downs more cheaply elsewhere?

And dont forget john lewis price match and bricks and mortar stores. Empire direct and sound and vision online both have bricks and mortar stores so they do price match against those two companies.

don't buy a stupidly overpriced waranty when you are protected by the sale of goods act for up to 6 years for free.

Got a good deal in the end. Bought a Panasonic 32" from the CoOp. It was £799 but they had 10% off it, plus I had a discount voucher for 5% because Im a member and then got another 15% off it because my daughter works for the CoOp! Result was that we got it for £580 and it also came with free 5 year parts and labour warranty. Im very happy with this deal!

Fair enough, then you are sort of stuck with whatever your local suppliers can offer I guess.
