Bad experience with 'theclaimsguys' Please help- advice needed asap!!!

Hello everyone,

Toward the end of last year my husband was recieving calls from 'theclaimsguys', As we are in debt and money is tight, and they reassured that my husband was entitled to moneyback. They also assured that they would deal with the whole process and all he had to do was sit back and wait. He decided to go ahead with a claimas he really thought we had nothing to lose, esperciallly as they have the no win no fee guarentee. He recieved a couple of letters saying the claim was going ahead, and just comfirming what had been discussed on the phone. He then recieved a pack of forms to fill in and a letter saying he had to contact the bank himself. He then decided to forget it !!! this would mean him having to do all the work, which was the main reason for letting 'theclaimsguys' go ahead with a claim.
Since then we havent heard from them. Although in february we moved house, however our mail was redirected for the following 3 months.He has however recieved a letter from his bank stating that he is not entitled to any compensation or payback. This we accepted, hence 'nothing to lose'.

Then yesterday he recieved an email from 'thclaimsguys' stating that he owes them £1154. There is no explanation as to why he owes this money, just that they have tried to contact him on many occassions and details on how to pay them.

We do not have this kind of money nor have we the intention of just handing it over. Can anyone please offer some advice on our next move???

For the time being ignore it. If you havent received any payout then you have nothing to pay. You have moved house and they would have to trace you and its unlikely they would do so if you dont really owe them money.

The Claims Guys have an awful reputation. I received a cold call from them and was told a bunch of lies. I told the woman I was an IFA and she said I could still complain. I told her I arrange my own insurances and she said I could still complain (which would be complaining to myself). A complete joke.

What sort of paperwork do you have from them originally? Any signed form of agreement or anything?
They would at some stage need to prove you'd signed up for something and prove what they were billing you for.

Im not entirely sure on the paperwork. Chances are weve dicarded it now as we thought we didnt need it anymore. But ill check with my husband when he gets back from work.

Claims guys took a percentage of what was paid out. If nothing was paid out then there is nothing to pay them for. Maybe you have been successful and dont realise it?
