Mint Card - Scared Newbie

Hi all,
Have been toying with the idea of a PPI reclaim for a while now but have found it very daunting.
In short its a Mint Credit Card that I have had for the last 5 years. Scanning the forums and internet It seems Mint are one of the more trickier customers when it comes to reclaiming PPI?
As a starter, I was paying PPI up until around 12 months ago when I received a call from there asking if I was aware I was paying PPI to which I said no and could it be removed which it then was.
Does this mean they have covered themselves then?
And if I did want to try and reclaim the PPI where do I start?

Do note that credit card PPI appears on every statement on a separate line, so any complaint that you were unaware of it is very weak and likely to fail. Look for better, preferably verifiable, complaint reasons.0 -
Ok thanks, yes I have checked a previous statement and it is on there however I know myself and I am notorious for not taking extra payments on things as I don't like to add additional payments on to anything (currently arguing with the wife whether we need washing machine insurance or not!)
Looking at the checklist then I am sure my claim would fall under one of the below:
Implied or stated it would be more expensive if you didn't take the insurance
Implied or insisted you take out their policy to qualify for the product or help with your application
Was very pushy when selling the product, so that you felt you could not say no
Am pretty sure it was a phone application too.... so in that sense the phone call to me doesnt really matter as its not the fact I wasn't aware its the fact I was mis-sold correct?0 -
All those checklist reasons are "hearsay" for which you can provide no proof. That doesn't mean you shouldn't complain, but do realise that your complaint will be weak.0
