FTSE Down another 0.83% as I write this. Down latter part of last week - a big pull up on Monday to be smashed up by a downturn Tuesday.

Is this the end of the Bull?

But the Chairman of NG. Buying £150,000 worth of shares after a sharp drop in NG. prices? Why would he do that? Hmmm!

You display all the bad qualities of a new investor.
Stop obsessing about hourly movements. Investing is for the long term.

Right I need to have a ban on market watching in my house. I also need to BAN myself from logging onto HL EVERY sodding day to see the exceptionally short term picture.

To protect his multi million salary. £150000 to him is like you or me buying a round of drinks in the pub - not that I do that sort of thing very often ;)
I believe past performance is a good guide to future performance

I hope we are not going to see a daily post from you asking why the ftse has moved less than 1% up or down!

Nothing wrong with looking at it just don't stress over it.

Plug the values into a spreadsheet if you must and then hide the daily lines once a month. Watch the trends.

Still reading Tim Hale? he said make your choice and only look once a year.

Did you empty your advent calendar in advance?

There's some behaviour experiment with small children, whereby they put a marshmallow on the table in front of them, and say that if they can wait five minutes before eating it, they will give them another two marshmallows. The kids that can't wait five minutes before eating the marshmallow will end up in prison before they are 30 years old.

    I may have paraphrased this.

FWIW, I think the people who have made money recently are taking it out, and the people who have money on the sidelines are putting it in, so once everything settles it will be back to normal. Whatever that is.
