Dollar cheque accounts

My wife has been getting share dividends in dollar cheques, these are small amounts about $30.00. To pay these in to our bank they want to charge approx £15.00.
Any one know an easy way round this?

Can the dividends be re-invested in shares in the company?

I would love to know an answer to this one as well.
As a company that hubby has got shares in has been taken over so now the dividends are in dollar cheques.
Hubby is going to set up to re-invest but at the moment he has two dollar cheques and can't do anything with them. As it would cost about £20 for a cheque that is only worth about £15.

Send them back to the company registrars in the U.S. stating that they are too small to negotiate and could they put them towards future purchase of shares.
Don't know if it would work as I've never had to do this myself but worth a go IMO.
