I changed car insurers recently and I have repeated asked for confirmation from old insurers about proof that I have not claimed in the last 5 years without success and many broken promises that letter in post but never arrives. New company threatening to stop my insurance. Is there any other way of proving my no claims position? feeling angryand exasperated!!!!!

Did you not receive a renewal notification detailing your NCB?
Who are your previous insurer?
Do they have live chat on their website where you can ask for help?Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

We need more details if this was at renewal or not.
The usual scenario is that a customer changes insurer mid-term ( so there is no renewal letter ) and then simply cancels their direct debit on their old insurance. The old insurer then refuses to issue proof of no claims until any outstanding monies are paid.0 -
Assuming there is no reason why your old insurer is not co-operating, then tell your new insurer the situation, and give them your previous insurance details and ask if they can get the info they need direct.0
