Can I return goods with no receipt?

My OH bought me some earrings 4 months ago and one of the stems has broken off. They cost £90 so not cheap. We can't find the receipt but he paid with a debit card so we have the statement. Am I still entitled to take them back?

you need to have proof of purchase, so a bank statement could prove that , there is no requirement to have the receipt0

Most stores will accept this but if you purchased other items and the amount is different they may argue its not the same purchase.
They may also say you have bent them so be prepared for them trying to sell you a repair and stand your ground0 -
That's good. He only bought those earrings so I can prove the price. I actually want them repaired, not a refund. I looked everywhere for them ( my birthstone). Hopefully they will be helpful, fingers crossed.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0
