My acceptable introductory rate for the eSaver account is ending and will shortly be a derisory 0.5% in a few weeks.
I'm due for a meeting shortly with them to see what they suggest - anyone in a similar situation, what did Santander suggest?

What bigfreddiel says if you can put the turnover and DDRs through it.
Just applied for my second."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

My 3.15% Esaver comes to an end on the 28th June which is a real pain in the bum as I now need to re-distribute 50k to minimise the loss of interest.
My plan is as follows;
Max out our existing 123 account to the full 20k (15k)
Opened two more Lloyds Vantage accounts (10k)
Opened two Bank of Scotland Vantage accounts (10k)
Opened four more Nationwide FlexDirect accounts (10k but may not pay interest)
Opened a second 123 account to take up and slack (20k)
Hopefully this way I should be able to keep the minimum rate on any account at 3%. The accounts are out there to keep your interest rates above water it's just that that Esaver was so damn convenient.0 -
My Santander e-saver also comes to an end soon.
The new e-saver rate is 1.5%' leave it in the old one and its 0.5%.
Already got a joint 123 account, and Isas.
Despite reading about opening another 123 account, the conditions state you cannot fund it by recycling from another Santander account.
I suppose I could move one of my pensions over to the new 123 account and also 2 dds, and hopefully it wouldn't be any hassle, but wouldn't I then have to have another debit/credit card.
Ironically I did message. Santander re opening another account but no reply.0 -
Just set up another current account elsewhere for the (re-)cycling of the monthly minimum amount. Some, like Halifax, might even pay you for it if you go about it in the right way. Check out the other current account threads.0

Easy to move a pension and two dd's over... 3 phone calls at the worst one or two letters.
You dont even need to order a debit card for the second account if you manage online...0
