I am looking for somewhere to put money in a stocks & shares ISA and this is the area that I'm less confident in so would appreciate some advice. The problem with the ETFs is that all you get are trackers so you aren't going to do any better than a bit worse than market average after tracking lag is taken into account. Since the alternative is selecting well managed managed funds that consistently stay in the top 25% it seems like a waste to save dealing charges but lose the extra growth.
