You owe them the money if they credited you by mistake. You don't get to keep it if they realise what they have done and ask for it back.
Google "retaining wrongful credit".0 -

From the tone of your post, I presume this was unexpected. If you still have the item/service that you paid for originally I would recommend not spending your windfall until six years have elapsed. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Ok. So lets rewind back a bit...... And start again.
Who made the payment/is it one you made?
What was it for?
Have you spoken to the company to ask why you have been recredited?
I know you are new here. But if you read what your wrote. It gives no information at all, for anyone to give advice on.
Think about what you ask... Post on a internet forum (Ok it gives us something to do) or ask the people who have a idea on what has happened....

Do you mean they have taken payment from your credit card twice? Or that they have refunded you for something that you paid for on your credit card?
The former happened to me at a petrol station - card was declined so used a different card - rang MBNA (who run both cards) and was told that the payment had gone through on both cards. The petrol station gave me the declined receipt. I was advised to wait a few days and see if it resolved itself, otherwise ring back and MBNA would look into it. Couple of days later one of the charges dropped off.
I'd phone the credit card company and the company you bought from if the payment has been claimed twice.0
