My daughter has an old Dell laptop running Widows XP. It was supplied from her work but when the staff got newer laptops they were allowed to buy the old laptop for a nominal fee.

It has not been used for a couple of years. She can log on using her password(as a non-administrator)

She thought she had the password as an administrator, but has either forgotten it; or never had it.

She doesn't have the Win XP disc.

The laptop has been given to me and I want to regain administrator facilities to delete some programs and load others and I obviously cannot.

Is there any way the users can be 'reset'?
