Bank transfer from credit card, does it appear as a cash advance?

I have an offer on one of my credit cards for a bank transfer at 0% up to June next year.
I was thinking about drawing 200 quid against it to top up my house emergency fund as need to get some stuff done, I'm not in any kind of financial problem.
Now I know that if I draw the cash from an ATM it appears on the credit file as a cash advance which is a big red warning sign to financial institutions but if I carry out one of these transactions does it also appear as a cash advance?

If you ask your credit card provider to do it, no.
Are you sure there isn't a fee for the actual transfer? The BT may be 0%, but the transfer fee is typically 2.5 - 4% of the amount transferred, sometimes with a minimum fee.0 -
I think there probably is a fee but then again they don't do this out of the kindness of their harts do they.
Might be better for me to use it as a BT and shift a balance I still pay a relatively high interest on 12% as other cards I have are either no interest or quite low.Interests: PCs. servers, networks, mobiles and music (esp. trance)0 -
