PPI claims companies

Can anyone advise me on this. I started a PPI claim 4 years ago on my own, it ended up by the ombudsman saying they had no juristriction with the company as it started in 2004. I decided to use a claims company to try again. This started almost 3 years ago, this time the ombudsmen said they would try with the insurance company who underwrote the policy. I heard othing for 2 years and then I got a letter from the insurance company, which I completed with all of the details of my claim and sent it back. I tried to contact the claims company but they did not respond to emails/calls so I assumed they were no longer in business.
After a further 6 months, I sent a letter to the insurance company asking what was happening with my case. Eventually, I have been paid out, Yeh!!!!
However, today and out of the blue, the claims company have phoned me to say they understand my complaint was upheld and now demands money.
Can they legally do this if it was me that had direct contact with the insurance company and not them?
Any advice please

Yes because you signed a contract with them and didn't revoke or cancel it. You will have to pay.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Even though I was unable to contact them?0

If you can prove that they deliberately didn't respond, or that you actually did contact them and there was no reply [ either by first class letter proof of posting, recorded delivery, time and date stamped e-mails, phone records etc] you might be able to use that argument. Bear in mind they probably will take you to court if you don't resolve this though.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Yeah I understand that - I searched the company, it looks like its in a house. Not much info about it. I did try but have no proof. The email address I have for them apparently is no longer in use as the person doesn't work there anymore.0

Is this the FS Company you are asking about on another post ? It's better to keep all related posts together really.0
