Any of the VAG petrol turbo cars interest you?0

It normally just regens. during longer runs , the fan will cut in and there may be a smell so if a regen . is overdue you can force one by ensuring it gets hot enough.0

...but I'm trying to find something on par performance wise with my current 2.5l petrol saloon and has a useful towing weight. Most of the petrol cars I can find are pretty sub 1.6l thiings, offering no towing ability and no performanc.0

Yeah I'm certainly open to doing so, though I won't be able to keep doing that forever. When did DPF's become common?
edit: Towing wise I'm aimingfor something that can cope with about 1400kg which should give me plenty of leeway. Performance wise anything that's not going to be particularly lethargic, so say over 120bhp / 0-60 of under 11-12 seconds. I know it's not the best metric but theres no other way to compare them on paper.OddballJamie wrote: »Any of the VAG petrol turbo cars interest you?
Not really, all the VAG's I've been in or driven have been woefully dull so far (Polo, Golf, Passat, 3-series). I might look at some of the Seat offerings though. It normally just regens. during longer runs , the fan will cut in and there may be a smell so if a regen . is overdue you can force one by ensuring it gets hot enough.
So there's no real warning about it or way to tell it you're at a good point to start? That's a shame.0 -
Have heard of numerous issues with the 2.0D so avoid that engine. There also similar warnings on honest john for the 2.2D:

Coupled with your intended driving i personally would avoid a diesel and go for a petrol. I must say though that the Mazda 6 is lovely looking car.0
