What does it matter to your husband if the company stops the engine test?

But I think prematurely ending the engine test will affect the supplier, especially over a relatively small £6k

Sorry but £6K is not a small amount to our business and effects our cash flow.

Sorry, you misunderstood me. £6k is a relatively small amount to any engine manufacturer/testing facility.

What does it matter to your husband if the company stops the engine test?

If the customer has not paid your husband for the software in the first place, why would he even be considering fixing any bugs?

Ee can only fix any problems remotely from the uk if the rest bed is running and computers switched on.

Yes I am also a little bit angry that he is still supporting them even though we havent been paid??

The engineers on the factory floor contact him and he helps them, I know madness, but he says its not their fault the head people haven't paid us.
That's what i understand the situation is and yes i am a bit angry.
Anyway I am still checking the bank account as they say the money has been paid but may not show for a few days.

In Sweden, you would not normally go to court to call in a debt as there is a separate judicial authority which directly deals with money demands and also acts as the bailiffs - Kronofogden (the Enforcement Authority).

After an invoice is overdue you can immediately make an application for "Europeiskt betalningsföreläggande" (European Payment Order), it costs 300 SEK (approx £30) and if not challenged leads to a judgment equivalent to a CCJ in the UK. Kronofogden will handle applications for claimants anywhere in the EU as long as the defendent is resident/based in Sweden.

    http://www.kronofogden.se/Europeisktbetalningforelaggande.html (in Swedish)

If the defendant objects to your claim, then you will have to go to court, with all the fees and processes involved, to proceed. If not, then Kronofogden will also be able to enforce.

I think to make the application directly to Kronofogden it needs to be done in Swedish. The other option is to submit the European Payment Order in English to your local County Court which will be forwarded to Kronofogden. I haven't done that so I have no experience of it, here is the link though:

    https://e-justice.europa.eu/content_european_payment_order-41-en.do

    Good luck!
