Default and Mortgage

Just wondered if anyone can give me any advise. I have a default for £1500 with Barclays which is satisfied and due to be removed in April 2014.
I have a 15% deposit available and have found a house I want to buy (currently living at parents due to separation) but am really worried about applying for a mortgage and being rejected.
Since separation Ive been on electoral role at parents house but had to open new current account due to having joint account with ex. So basically been on both for 1 year.
I have no other loans etc and have had a capital one credit card which I spend £50 on each month and pay off in full and have been doing so for the last 4 years. I also have one more credit card and a House of Fraser card which I always pay off in full and had for many years. Sorry for long message but want people to know where I am financially now.
I need to move out and don't really want to wait until April 2014.
Thanks for any advise in advance.

Its a fairly small default, fairly old and has been repaid. That should all help when trying to get a mortgage.
All the other items on your file sounds reasonable and assuming your earnings are sufficient I'd expect you would be able to find a mortgage, even if its not at the most competitive rates that are around.
I'd consider talking to an independant mortgage advisor and explaining your circumstances and seeing which lenders they recommend.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
