how do you block off an old toilet?

Hi
we are trying to turn our big ensuite bathroom, back into a wee bedroom. I understand that you have to take out the suite and cut back the pipes, and screw on caps to block the pipes. What do you use to block the toilet waste pipe? Really don't want to get this wrong......

thanks

    Hi,
You can get a soil pipe bung to block off the toilet waste pipe.
Its a bit like a large rubber ring with a threaded rod in the middle. You tighten up the wingnut and it compresses the rubber in the middle, this expands at the outer edges to seal inside the soil pipe.
