Voluntary Redundancy and JSA contribution based.

Hi,
My hubby is almost 56, works in local government and the local authority have asked for expressions of interest in voluntary redundancy.
He has received illustrations of his lump sum pension figure plus annual pension and redundancy figure for 34 years service.
If he took the offer at some time in the future, would he still be entitled to 6 months JSA ?

I think that any pension recieved in excess of £50/week will be deducted £ for £ from any JSA.

His lump sum over £30k is taxable, his pension is taxable, his JSA would be taxable, he would have to jump through hoops for, in the end, £1476, its not worth the effort.
Dont forget the petrol & TIME for signing on and pretending to jobsearch.
