Best account for £60k

Hi all,

Need some advice. I have £60k set aside for home improvements and living costs for the next 5yrs. I need to be able to get at this money anytime but also need a decent interest rate (3%+).
Any thoughts much appreciated,

Cheers :)

    What this poster said.^^

Could think about a couple of Santander 123 accounts, but there are strings attached.

I had £200K at the end of last year thanks to home sale and couldn't get 3%!

Max your ISAs, use the link on here for accounts, the santander current account pays 3% but there is a max balance, but if you want easy access then 3% isn't that achievable.

Also check the rates of any existing savings accounts, we moved our cash about a bit as my personal halifax savings account was 2.8%. (Alas even that ran out in april. )
