Profile/Referrals

I dont know whether anybody can answer my question, but here goes. A while back I was looking at my profile when I noticed that I had 2 referrals. I was mystified as I dont remember posting anything controversial and I couldnt find a way to trace what the referrals referred (!) to. So, I just ignored it. They stayed there each time I checked my profile (still havent worked out how to mark threads so that I can get updates of new posts, so I check from profile) Then, a couple of weeks back, looking at it again and the referrals had gone.

Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure referrals are when someone joins MSE and they say that you told them about it? But then i dont understand why they would have now gone.....

Oh, that would make sense then as I told a few people about it.

I'll stop worrying now.
