Nationwide doesn't - at least with some of their accounts
There used to be a list on the travel money section of this website but I can't find it - unless it's the same as using the card overseas.0 -
Some banks were mentioned in MSE article 2.5 years ago: Banks to scrap bureau de change debit card fee
I think there are much more of them now.0 -
The 2 I would say to go for are the Metrobank Current Account and the Halifax Clarity Credit Card.
Only thing with the Metrobank is that you have to setup the Account in store and they only have stores mostly within the M25.
EDIT: Just thought I would clairfy that you don't buy currency with these cards. You take the card on holiday with you and either pay for things with the card like you do here or you go to an ATM and withdraw cash with the card. Far safer imo as your not walking around with a wad of cash on you.0 -
Yes, I was looking for this list but cannot find it.
I want to buy currency not take it in holiday.
Wouldn't open an account, but want to check if any of my existing ones would work0 -

Since July last year, no bank will charge you an extra fee for purchasing currency in the UK on a Debit card.
However, many credit card providers do still charge as they treat it as a cash advance.0
