    NOPE. The OP should simply send an appeal urgently so the registered keeper never gets to hear about it. She needs to read up on appeals and POPLA (free to motorists but NOT to be worded without help!) so she can plan her appeal letters properly.

    Hayley, DO NOT say it's a courtesy car and DO NOT even say you were driving. Just appeal as shown - either a robust appeal or a simple one, whichever you prefer at this early stage because they WILL reject it and then you can come back and plan a strong, winning POPLA appeal, which is the important stage.
