Cubs helps my son learn lots of things, gives him activities outside of school and he goes on camp, he never stays away so camping away from home helps!!

Could he stay overnight with friends or family instead?

Swimming is a great source of exercise for him and its obviously a valuable thing to know.

Does he have a bike or friends with whom he could play football in the park? Can he swim well enough that if he fell into a pool, he would be able to get himself to the side?

As for the music lessons, what instrument is it? Does your son practise regularly? Could he get playing experience some other way e.g. in an orchestra or playing duets? Could he share lessons?

He's not well enough to work, but he's well enough to do a full time OU course

No offence, but I think he's taking you for a fool.

And how much is this course costing?

To be honest, I don't think he is, I know what he has been like for the last year and I wouldn't wish that an anyone, and him taking time out and studying a course, whilst slowly regaining confidence and getting to be able to move more just where we are.

I can see how from my text it may look like he is taking the {insert word} but I don't believe he is.

Thanks everyone, all the suggestions you have all made are great and I will take them on board, music lesson will cut down/stop until its more financially viable. Will look at other ISP and stop the Netflix and live accounts. There is lots to be going on from the advice you have given so aim to be sorted by Xmas!! :)
