Additional credit card holders

Hi all.
Quick question for all of you. I have a santander 123 credit card which I use for everything I can get cash back on, and clear it every month. I've seen on here that this is a good way to build a good credit history. My misses doesn't have the best credit history, so I thought that if I got her on my account as an additional card holder, would this help to build her history?
