asking for your credit rating leaves a foot print?

Hi All,
I've tried searching but as you can imagine with words like "credit search" & "reference agency"...there is loads of everything comes up.
I'm looking at a first mortgage in the next couple of months so I've checked my credit rating with Experian, all seems correct, however,I would like to check it with another CRA just to be sure all is in order before my applictaion.
my Questions are:
a) Does me asking for my own credit history/rating show up as a 'foot print' to potential lenders?
b) Is everytime I check it recorded for potential lenders to see? for example if I check iti a couple of times a week, would they see?
Thank you in advance - Rob
