Does anyone know the error code FL on Ideal Isar HE24 boiler

Hi, today i have had the error code FL show on my ideal isar HE24 boiler, there was no hot water. I have never had an error code on it before, i reset it before and it seems to have reset ok and went straight to 0 and i do have hot water again.

I am just worried now that something it about to break on it.

does anyone have any ideas what it might be?

do you have gas ?
does the boiler light for a few seconds then go out ?

the fault code is LF btw not FL

LF= Flame Failure.

The solution was to Press (C) for 3 seconds, if the boiler does not relight,turn
it off and contact a gas safe engineer.

Its all covered in your manual on Page 3.

After i reset it it seemed to light fine, it goes straight to 0 now, when i run water it shows as d which i think is normal then goes back to 0

its just odd that when i got in from work it was on LF and had no hot water until i reset it.

if it carries on doing it it could be a number of things none of which is a diy job, because a number of things need to be tested.

not one of the cheapest boilers to fix & also one of the worst boilers made, i don't normally say this but i would highly recommend signing up to one of the monthly service schemes while it is still working or it will cost you a good few quid in repair bills
