Because the people affected are all classed as dishonest crooks out to defraud the Bank, and if they give us notice, we will all go on a wild spending spree, then run away leaving a bad debt.:rotfl:

Second Class letter, I dream of getting a second class letter! I still have not been formally informed of the decision, perhaps they have worked out that getting the checkout staff at Wilkinsons to do it saves a further 22p, after all, the Banks are struggling to make profits!

Be fair Wyebird, I kept it brief and just pointed to previous posts.:p

Eventually, on a quiet news day, some stereo-typical Daily Mail reader will get stranded abroad, or arrested for being unable to settle a bill, and this sharp practice will hit the headlines. Thats when the fan and smelly stuff will really collide and the 'T&C' and 'It's for your own good' arguments will fall flat.

Look out, Dylan, you are surrounded by DM readers on here! LOL That's when they are not reading credit card T&C's, and company manuals.

In that case, the limit reductions were backed by the Labour party, will affect house prices, and only apply to middle-class taxpayers. That should get the DM readers on-side!:rotfl:

Halifax did this to me as well, so I told them to GTF. Cancelled the Halifax card completely a couple of months ago and currently closing down all my Halifax savings account and bank account. :D

Maybe that was 22p not well spent then?
