Surely cheaper just to buy another?0

Doubt it? Garmin start at £60 & Tomtom £90. Screen repsir £20 I'd guess? Unless you know otherwise ?0

A new one is about £90, the screen is about £30 off eBay, then follow the youtube videos to change it.
The case usually pops apart, you need a credit card, guitar plectrum or special tool to prise one side off the other to part the clips, will be on youtube somewhere.
I'd have a go at fixing it and save £60, a cheap shop is going to want about £50 to supply & fit.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

A sabove i would go the ebay route and follow videos.
I did this with the battery as mine wasnt holding charge very well.
It was suprisingly easy to do and took the thing apart and back together within the hour and that was taking things slowly

From £30 used on ebay.

Then sell your own on ebay for spares or repair.0 -

I don't know if it's the same with your model but if there is a stuck on label along the bottom (serial number etc.) there could well be two screws under it. They are unusual screws and require a special star driver. If it is like that the case should prise open with care once those two are removed.0 -
Just bought a used one for £45 delivered. Getting the guy post it tomorrow. Saves peeing about chiselling at cases and waiting for screens from Hong Kong :rotfl:
!!!!ing hell, don't know where I'd be Without it (literally :rotfl: )0 -

Probably Torx screws. A set of small Torx drivers is very useful for mobile phone repairs and so on.If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -

If it's the same model, keep the old one (and charge it up from time to time), and you've got a bunch of spares for it it goes wrong:)

Aye probably torx bits, and it's very handy having a set of them (and other mini screwdrivers/hex drivers) for repairing things like phones, and even remote controls.
A dropper bottle of isopropyle alcohol, some cotton buds, and a set of torx/mini screw driver bits have let me save many a remote control, keyboard or cordless phone that someone has had an "oops" moment with when having a drink in front of the TV etc.0 -
