silly question.....if i update my samsung galaxy tab 2 does it delete content/apps

apologies for the question but im totally clueless about stuff like this, I can use it and download apps etc, but anything more technical leaves me a bit bamboozled.

Its the samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 and theres an update to jelly bean (I think its that) ready for it. Only I downloaded some more apps and paid for a few for my kids today, I really dont want to lose them.

If its updated to jellybean will the apps etc be deleted???

No they won't be deleted, and whatever apps you have paid for will be tied to your Google account so they will always be available no matter what device you sign in with (assuming the device is compatible with the app that is).

The only thing that may happen is if an app isn't able to work with a major upgrade of the OS then you have to wait for the developer to update it, but since I've used Android exclusively since the first G1 handsets and it hasn't troubled me, you'll be fine.

Better still, even if you buy a totally new device one day, if you use the same google account, it'll update with all the same software you know and like automagically!

thankyou, left it with my bother as they have the wifi at theirs so hes gonna do it overnight for me

I updated my Galaxy Note recently and lost the folders I had sorted my apps into but not the apps themselves.
