Luton Airport have now given National Express exclusive right to service Luton Airport from Central London ..

National Express does not accept the Freedom Pass ..

Greenlines who do accept the Freedom Pass are still operating a service from Central London to Luton Town and offer Airport passengers a free shuttle service from Luton Town to the Airport ..

It is clear that Luton Airport is not interested in Freedom Pass holders ..

For those who have to pay Greenlines now offer new fares ..

Cash fares on boarding a coach at any Central London Stop is £10 for a single trip and £15 for a return trip (valid for 3 months)

It is a disgrace that Luton Airport is able to have an uncompetitive operation like this where passengers are held to ramsom ..

Don't be just annoyed - do something like making your feelings known here or writing to your MP .. If enough people protest they will have to think again .. Like with the Virgin & First - West Coast Mainline Rail Fiasco ..

Luton, Stanstead and Gatwick Airports all serve Londoners and it is a disgrace that Freedom Pass holders are now denied free travel to these airports ..

Luton Airport have clearly fallen short in their duty of care towards mature & vunerable passengers ..

This is not about austerity it is about profit derived from a monopoly ..

It is a disgrace that taxpayers were paying for wealthy pensioners to travel to the airport to go on their holidays.

The freedom pass scheme covers those people fortunate enough to live in London, many of them now millionaires through the house price lottery on houses purchased decades ago. Heathrow Airport is in London. Luton, Stansted and Gatwick are not.

Hence they should pay, same as everyone else.

You do of course understand that National Express do not accept any National Bus Pass?

Why have you decided to focus your rant on the Londoner's Freedom Pass?
