    This is why the process is slow. As the parties concerned are most likely still agreeing to the division of assets, or worst ways there's a shortfall that needs addressing.

    I don't expect them to cross check every detail, but I would have thought this was quite a big point, given that the only comment on the valuation is "the property has had a large extension to the rear". But again, maybe that is me setting my expectations too high.

    The division of assets etc was settled long ago, the delay is merely due to the wife purposely delaying sending back forms etc as she didn't want to leave. Luckily we seem to have moved on from this now.

    Solicitor will rely on the sellers property questionnaire. As failure to disclose or answer accurately leaves the seller open to a claim of misrepresentation. As with any business transaction, still relies on good faith between the parties. Caveat emptor as they say.
