Concert tickets

I've offered to take a friend to see M People at the Manchester Arena on 10 October 2013. How do I ensure I get best value: is £70-80 each right for the best seats? (Cheaper to buy a new tv).

I've tried MSE search but don't get any results. Do I need to guess a better search string?

We have a separate board for tickets like this.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule ) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

if you book your tickets on the ticketmaster site it gives you an option of 'best seats available'. you can then view where the seats are before purchasing them.
Beware the hefty booking fee though.

Try looking at other ticket-sites (Seetickets, Gigantic, Ticketweb) to see if they are any cheaper seats available.

I would imagine the £70-£80 face-value tickets will be near the front, more reasonable priced tickets will be available nearer the middle of the arena.

Little late to this thread, I know, however I may be in time...

People often make the mistake of thinking front and centre are the best seats. Centre is, yep, but see if you can sit just in front of the FoH/Mix position - the show will sound best there, look best there, and you won't have people behind you :-)
