Sticky tape on vinyl flooring

Hi,
Please can the wisdoms of the MSOS help me out?
when our landlord put down vinyl flooring in our kitchen he stuck it down with double sided tape!!!
Last summer some flies managed to get underneath & lay eggs (yuck) and we ended up having to rip up the vinyl flooring.
Underneath are peachy coloured floor tiles (looks like cheap vinyl tiles to me) but I cant find ANYTHING that will get rid of the horrid super-sticky residue of the double sided tape that is all around the edges of the kitchen floor
(
Please does anyone know of any products or techniques that would do the job?
We are moving soon and really need to get it clean in order to get our deposit back.
Thanks in advance

Hi snake-metal-mama,
I have split your post off from the 'quick questions' thread and moved it to the In My Home board as you may get more help with it there.
I know that WD40 is great for removing sticky residue but I'm not sure whether or not it would cope with a job as big as yours.
Hopefully you'll get more replies soon.

sticky stuff remover made by mykal industries limited their web site is https://www.desolvit.com. Mines a pour on liquid bought from lakeland i think - but Wilkinsons do a spray bottle of it - i've never come across a sticky item it hasn't sorted out yet and i've been using the stuff for years!
