Lloyds sending someone elses account details?

Hi all, hope this is the right place for this.
About a month ago we received a bank statement from Lloyds (my husband has an account with them) upon opening we realised that it was in somebody elses name, that the account details were different from ours but strangely it was our exact address.
I called Lloyds and explained the situation and they said they could not do anything over the phone but to take the letter to our local branch and hand it over. I did so, again explaining everything to the cashier (I also wrote 'NOT KNOWN AT THIS ADDRESS' on the envelope) she checked the sort code and said it was a branch not far from us (Garston in liverpool - we are in the city centre and our own account was opened online, so not the same branch/sort)
Anyway she said it was probably an error and that they would sort it out.
Yesterday however we received yet another letter addressed to the same person, but as before our address. My husband stupidly opened it :undecided They've now sent a bank card!
I'm really quite worried about this, we have lived here since this building was first built (about 4 years now) I'm worried that if this person gets into debt or something the bailiffs will be knocking on our door
Or even for this to have a negative impact on our credit files.
Thats not to mention that they are being very careless with somebody elses account details.
As I have already spoken to Lloyds and they have failed to rectify the situation I am wondering who, if anyone I can speak to about this?
I'm going to go to the branch today and try and get them to sort it out but to be honest I have zero confidence it will get sorted and I want to know what the next step to take should be.
Sorry for being so longwinded - Thanks for reading.

This is rather odd. I'd have thought the bank would be rather more concerned that either someone is (rather ineptly) trying to steal your identity, has set up fraudulent accounts with them using an address at which they are not registered or the bank itself has seriously breached the DPA by sending someone else's details to a completely unrelated 3rd party. You might want to mention those possibilities when you pop into the branch.
Lloyds are a bit bad with address details. When I split up from an ex a few years ago we had a joint bank account with them and also each our own separate private accounts. We signed 2 forms - one to put the joint account into my sole name and one to change his address. A few weeks later my Lloyds credit card statement turned up at his address. Fortunately we were on speaking terms so he let me know straight away but what if we hadn't been? Turns out they had processed his change of address form first and cascaded it throughout not only his accounts but mine as well because there was still a joint account, even though they had no authority from me to do so. I raised merry hell with the local branch for the DPA breach and was compensated £100, which was nice but not the point.I don't like chick flicks, I get grazed knuckles doing my own car repairs and I ride a massive cruiser motorbike. To many this makes me a bloke in disguise but to my husband this makes me perfect

Hi, have had a similar experience with NatWest send me a credit card and pin number a couple of years ago and they were not interested either. My daughter has just had a debit card, pin number, online id and password sent to her by RBS and they were not interested either. Said to drop it in to their bank when next went past. I went online to find nearest branch and all that came up was in SCOTLAND and we are in the West Midlands. So I wrote them a letter and posted it all to head office as she was worried about fraudster using her address. No reply of course. The strange thing though is that I recognised the name of the person. It was exactly the same as who used my address a couple of years before. I know this sounds paranoid but are banks trying to entrap their customers to see if they are honest.0

Just keep chucking them back in the post as "not known". The account will eventually be blocked. There will be no come-back on you whatsoever.
It is likely just a clerical error.urs sinserly,
