Need Help with Electricity Bill

Need Help Please my Electricty Supplier has put my Electric Direct Debit from £44 to £120 a month. This was from April.
This is just Electricity as we pay Gas for heating and hob and think only pay £40 a month which we are happy with and as other half pays gas and I pay electricity as we divide the bills up not keen to change to Dual Fuel.
We used 3746 KW last year .We are a 2 bedroom flat only with 2 adults but we are shift workers so probably constantly use. I know we have improved how much we use as we have consciously made the effort and the bill says we now use 9.68kw a day compared to 13.29 so hopefully be less this year but £120 a month is a lot.
I have done the MSE COMPARISON but don't think its been updated as it states I should be paying aprox £47.00 which im clearly paying now £120 but only since april.
The best savings on fixed tariff are first utility of £4.00 a month susposedly but of course im not sure of accuracy of this as they are not accurate about what im paying.
Im paying standard tariff which is what EDF just told me on the phone is the most expensive tarrif they do
Any Suggestions?? Don't fancy first utility as bad reviews
Just bee to N powers website and they quoted me cheaper then MSE of £45.03 for Online Price Fix August 2014 - Electricity where on the cheap energy club it states £68.00 a month ?? Hoping to go for fixed as don't want to get stung later
so may go direct ? why is that then ??

I spoken to them and re read my meter and its wiped all credit so feel the actual amount is at least a £100 a month so did it go up from April and why have MSE not updated the website ?

Confused
What do you mean by it's wiped all the credit?
You should be receiving regular bills or statements showing the cost of the energy you have consumed and the payments you have made towards that via DD.
If you think anything has gone missing, you should raise a complaint following the supplier's complaint procedure.0 -
you go online and submit the reading and the £105 credit I had now gone and balance is 30p so appears I am using the £100 ??
as the reading confirms I have used what I have paid by dd .0 -
You have to disentangle an awry payment from the actual cost of your current tariff.
If you are only using 10 kWh per day then clearly your bill at the end of the day should only be forty or fifty pounds per month on average. I don't understand why anyone would quote £68 per month - that is not correct for a usage of 3,700 kWh.
You should contact your supplier and tell them that their computers have made a glitch (or it could be that they have a requested one-off payment of £120.)0 -
Thanks Nada, the woman said it wasn't a one off payment but a monthly one so I will ring again and put the point across thanks0
