Hi there after watching the lovely mr lewis on tv I was wondering if someone can advise me...
I had a mortgage back in the day with my now x partner how would I or we go about claiming back the ppi from that.. the lender was norwich & Peterborough.
Also what is the chances or dangers of claiming back from a bank where the loan wasnt paid in full but is now statue barred?
Thanx in advance

Was the MPPI mis-sold?
(note that most MPPI complaints are rejected and they suffer less issues than other types of PPI - so you need to be clear on your reasons for complaint)the lender was norwich & Peterborough.
Did you buy the MPPI from N&P or via a broker? Also what is the chances or dangers of claiming back from a bank where the loan wasnt paid in full but is now statue barred?
You can still complain. However, the lender can use the redress against the debt you never paid.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Yea we were told we had to have it... although yes we had a financial adviser that sorted it all out for us...
Guessin that will make things difficult as I have no paper work left from that time.

Game over then. Mortgage brokers didnt become regulated until January 2005.
Even if it was post January 2005, your chances of success are tiny. Just 0.2% of PPI complaints at the FOS are adviser cases and most are rejected. Mortgage PPI has the lowest success rates on complaints as well. So, you were not likely to succeed even if you could complain.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
