Scammed! How to claim for a refund

Hi Everyone.
I have enquired with what seemed like a legit company to purchase 4 t shirts with a print on them for my charity event that I was organising.
They guy who replied to my emails seemed to be very responsing, replying almost immediately.
Long story short. I received an invoice for the T Shirts + delivery via email. As soon as I made a bank transfer for £34.50, I did not hear back from him. My charity event happened on 10th May with no t shirts. I have been trying to email, no response, call his mobile which was constantly off, then rang the office number on the website and actually spoke to someone who said that he is moving house and has not been in for the last week! By this time I had been emailing and sending texts almost every other day asking for a refund. Then I called the office the next day and was told that he has actually left, so he does not trade from that address anymore, however he would be in "later" to drop off other t shirts for his other customers. The guy who I spoke to on the phone also said that he owns him money...
Anyway, on the same day, I had a email back from him which said, sorry for the delay, his emails were playing up (yeah right!) and that he would send the refund asap! A week later - still nothing!
I have tried his mobile today - now says not recognised.
I know that I may not see my £34.50 again and perhaps it was my fault to make the bank transfer in the first place, but I had no reason to believe I was being scammed, but if I am not the only customer who he owns money to, surely there must be some sort of organisation I can report this guy to??
All advice welcome.

If you can track him down, you could go to court. Unlikely you would get anything back though.
Probably best just to treat it as a lesson learned and be thankful it was't a lot more.0 -
Thanks for your reply.
Such a shame that there isn't any organisation that people can turn to in these situations, those that can legally do something, as these scammers will always continue to rip people off.0 -
Doing a bank transfer would put me off.
Good luck getting it sorted.
All you can do is leave a review and hope that other people see it when searching for T shirt printing companies.0 -
What was the website.
You probably won't get your money back, but naming and shaming will help others avoid being scammed.0 -
NEVER pay by bank transfer! It should generally set alarm bells ringing...
Short of tracking him down and taking him to court, there's not much you can do other than name and shame so others don't fall into the same trap.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

http://www.all4onetshirtprinting.co.uk/ This is the website. I have checked the domain and its registered to the work address where he is apparently moved away from.
Funnily enough I found a facebook page https://www.facebook.com/All4OneTShirtPrinting and there is a lady there who has been waiting since before Christmas for her money back!
Wish I done some research sooner! But never mind, still should be somewhere where I can report this money ripping guy to...0 -
