Thank you so much for taking time to reply. Today has been hell but finally by throwing money at the problem, i have got removal firm on earlier and an extra team. Removals any day before was just not available with this or any other firm that could put goods in storage. Note to self, steer clear of school holidays especially when they fall at end of the month.0

people underestimate how hard manual labour is. With things like removals people think that removals people just take liberties, it's a very hard and underappreciated job.0

I was going to suggest they packed the day before and just collected on morning of completion. We were advised by removals that completion is generally anything between 12-4pm, ours completed at 11.00 and thankfully we were all out and cleaned. I did all our packing whilst kids were at school and when each cupboard was emptied I cleaned straight after. You don't have to clean afterwards but I always do and I'd like to hope the house I'm buying would to.0

My removal firm offered to pack on the Sat for around another £30-50, I forget now. I had them pack on the Friday and moved on the Monday in the end. Yes, it was a pain, but I survived.
Am sure one firm could do the Thursday or Sat if they're all booked up for Fri... keep shopping around. They can then move you on the Monday.
I can't imagine them doing it all in one day. Yes, it's likely it would take all day. They've always packed for me a day or whenever before then spent all morning loading the van on move day.
