Dunelm Mill made to measure curtains

Has anybody had any experience of using these? I have a couple of funny sized windows and was thinking of using their service as the curtains come fully lined and are in the 20% off sale.

They are part of the fast track curtain range.

I've no experience with the made to measure range but their pre-made curtains are very well made IMO. We just bought a pair for 1 of our guest bedrooms and they're lovely - Highly recommended in fact.

I see no reason why their made to measure versions should be any different ... :)

Sister works for Dunelm Mill in the fabric section. The curtain order is sent offsite and sent back to your store. She's only ever had one person complain (she's dictating this to me). Double check the measurements that they enter on the form before you sign to confirm the order. If you sign for incorrect measurements and the curtains are wrong because of this, you have no comeback.

I do really like the fabric in Dunelm Mill but I have a personal assistant (my mother) who makes my curtains !!!

I wish I had a mother to make my curtains!

Don't worry, we will double check the measurements of the curtains. Its 2 windows which are in the same room that are each going to have one curtain on each, if that makes sense! Its being a royal nightmare to price up!

Why do they describe the cost of the curtains in widths of fabric, then not tell you what one width of fabric is? I have discovered that its 54"

A few months ago I purchased some made to measure curtains from them for a very large area. I was going to buy two pairs of ready made and get them sewn together but I changed my mind...being pleasantly surprised that the made to measure ones weren't that much dearer.

The choice of material was excellent, the quality was lovely and so was the service, they even carried them out to the car for me when I collected them! Everybody has commented on how nice the curtains look and asked where I got them from, I was very happy and intend to use them again in the future.

Ok, so Dunelm are driving me mad.

I have two windows in the room and only want ONE curtain for each window. They are in exactly the same fabric, same length and same lining. The only difference to the two curtains is one is 1.5 widths of fabric wide and the other is 2.5 widths of fabric wide.

They are wanting to charge me for two whole pairs of curtains, despite them saying you can order single curtains in their catalogue. Now, I am using no more fabric than if I were to order a pair of curtains that were each 2 widths wide (2w+2w= 4w, 1.5w+2.5w= 4w).

I could understand if I was say only ordering one curtain that was 1.5w wide and they charged me for a curtain that was 2w wide as half a width of fabric would be going to waste.

I would understand if they charged me the cost of ordering a pair of curtains that is 2w wide, as they use the same amount of fabric. I could understand if they charged me half price for a pair of curtains that are 1.5w wide each anf half price for a pair of curtains that are 2.5w wide. But I do not see why they have to charge me the full price of a pair of curtains when I only want one of each and they say that they can order single curtains.

    Its driving me mad!
