I need to book the quality hotel at edinburgh airport 1 night dbb with a weeks parking but for the date I need it is coming up at £230 for the night! The only other hotel on site is the hilton which is even more expensive and charges extra for parking. Any ideas how I can get this cheaper?

Try booking the travelodge at Ratho Station, you can get decent meals in this hotel, then book the parking separately. You should get it all in for less than £100 for 2 people.0

theres also a novotel hotel at hermiston gait - quick taxi ride to the airport0

Stay at travelodge. Airport slip road is half a mile and flying scot parking is just off slip road.
1 minute transfer.

What date are you trying to book for? I put in next Tuesday on the Quality Hotel website and the room and 15 days parking price is £131. I suspect you've picked a date when something is happening in Edinburgh, in which case prices everywhere are likely to be high.
You could consider staying in Fife, using the Ferrytoll car park, and getting the 747 Airbus from there.0 -

Sounds like there is something happening which is why it is expensive. We stayed in the Premier Inn at Newbridge which is less than 5 minutes away. There is also a Premier Inn at Hermiston Gait. Or you can do the travelodge at Ratho. All much cheaper than the Quality Inn onsite and all reasonable for one night's sleep.
For parking we used Secure Airparks which uses the same shuttle bus as the Quality Inn.Wins in 2015

Travelodge Edinburgh Airport (link above) is £84 for 1 night from 09/08 til 10/08 then using Martin's discount link from the Cheap Airport Parking article (link also above) you can have parking that's a 5 minute ride away from the airport with shuttles running on demand for just £28.60.
Whether driving you car 10 minutes to the car park is worth £100 is up to you.0 -
What is on on the 9th of August other than lots of people going on holiday?
The 2011 Fringe sold 1,877,119 tickets[2] for 41,689 performances of 2,542 shows, in 258 venues, over 25 days,[4] for an average of more than 75,000 admissions and 1,360 performances per day. There were an estimated 21,192 performers, from 60 countries participating. There were 607 free shows.
Oh - and the Edinburgh International Festival and the Edinburgh Tattoo and the Edinburgh Arts Festival and the Edinburgh Book Festival
Bottom line - cheap accommodation and August do not go together in Edinburgh0
