Getting my own back?

Hi all, popped in here to ask the experts a question thats been in my mind each time I receive a scam email, roughly 3 per day from the usual "bank of benin,£26.5 million for you, your bank account has been frozen log in with details" etc.
Is there an "off the shelf virus" I could get from somewhere to send to them on the assumption they may believe they have hooked a mug and open it thus infecting themselves? If such a thing exists it would need to be idiot proof so I could download it and resend it as im not the brightest with techie aspects of a computer but I am fed up with these scam artists and although I spot them a mile off (not difficult) I do hate the thought of someone else getting scammed and would like to get my own back as such.
Do such things exist or where would I go to look for it?

Don't bother - you'll likely infect your OWN computer instead.
Just do what most of the rest of us do - bin them.0 -

Just delete them and get on with life....0 -
These emails likely come from some infected/compromised computer so it's not like the spammers are using their own computers to send you spam.
Never trust information given by strangers on internet forums0 -
Yeah thanks people just a little gremlin kept annoying me about them, have this vision of them sitting in nigeria or wherever they originate sending these things off,did have one very little payback when I got the phone call re your computer is infected and we will solve your problems online for you,I just set the phone beside me as I watched TV and every few moments asked them to repeat themselves, held them on the phone for good 20 minutes, every little helps.......0

How do you know they weren't using someone else's landline or stolen mobile phone that taps into (i.e. forwards onto) a landline, paid for by someone's stolen credit card? You may have given that stolen credit card more hassle?
Even if you "got your own back" someone else will pay the penalty for it. So just block the spammers email address if necessary/possible using spam filters and blacklists via your email provider's website or your email program.0 -
Have a look at 419eater.com if you want to do this sort of thing, but read it carefully in order to stay safe and legal.
Or just delete them.0 -
Or just use an email account that actually works with spam. I never see them because they all get spam sectioned.0

Thanks, but to be honest, if they couldn't figure that out from my post, then scambaiting is probably not a good hobby to take up!0 -
+1 for 419eater
Look in the forums, plenty of ways to get back far more effectively and legally - and with 10 times the fun!0
