Sorry I didnt know where to post this, so mods please feel free to move it to a more appropriate place

Mum is 76 and has been recieving post for an unknown person at her address for a while, (she has lived there for 30 years, so not previous owner) she has always marked them person unknown and posted them back.

Today she accidentally opened one while opening a lot of post and it was a bill for La Redoute for £200, interestingly, while talking about it to a neighbour, he had one too, in a different name to the one on Mums.

Has anyone any advice on what steps she should take, she just wants to ignore it, but I just think it will be eventually referred to debt collectors, and end up causing a load more hassle

You must speak to La Redoute and find out if the debt will be atributed to your mums address if it is not paid,one other thing,if this is a mail order company where are the goods going to?.
you really need to contact La redoute asap.

Because if you don't they may apply for a CCJ on whatever their name is AT YOUR MUM'S ADDRESS and once the address is on record it affects all sorts of things.
