London agent + rightmove

Options
Hi have been searching in South West London now for 2 months, still haven't found anything. One thing that annoys is one large agent Dexters who leave their properties on rightmove even after the property is been sold for a long period, so each time you ring them they say sold. Rather annoying, also I notice they always inflate their prices compared to other agents........dodgy and not fair on the seller or buyer....stay away from Dexters but more importantly can you report this to rightmove or someone else? If the property is sold why should they be able to keep listing their properties. Will cause gazumping tactics as well. Yeah ok we know agents are dodgy as hell, but this is unfair wastes time for buyer and seller.

Depends what you mean by 'sold'? Not all properties have to come off the market just because an offer has been accepted. Anything can happen until you exchange contracts.

Which part of sw London you looking and what budget? I bought there last year, found most of the agents to be much the same.

Agents leave properties on as SSC when they are completed, one I bought stayed on Rightmove for 6 months after I had completed, it's just a way of maintaining an agents profile.
This happens with lettings too, two properties I let earlier in the year are still on Roghtmove as available!

I like Dexters. The team at the West Kensington office are very nice, and happily show you a range of properties during a nice walk around the area.

    Just my two penneth worth.

There is a website where you can compare estate agents, including which ones have the longest time on the market, and the most price drops. Does anyone know what it is?
